At Kate Towson Marketing, we use fundraising and marketing to help Philadelphia-area nonprofits tell their stories with greater impact, ensuring people can connect with the heart of their mission.
At Kate Towson Marketing, we work with partners to create marketing and fundraising strategies for Philadelphia-area nonprofits.
Kate Towson has worked in the field of fundraising and marketing for over eight years. Prior to opening her own firm, Kate was the Director of Development for Women's Empowerment, a Sacramento-based nonprofit that helps homeless women and children. Over six years, Kate raised more than $4 million in private funding and oversaw the organization's philanthropic and marketing efforts. While there, Kate increased the organization's operating revenue by 46% -- including breaking the $1 million mark.
Kate first became interested in social justice while studying abroad in South Africa, where she attended Rhodes University, volunteering in two clinics that served women and children who were HIV-positive. After college, Kate enrolled in the Americorps VISTA program. For two years, she helped Sacramento Steps Forward with their fundraising efforts, including helping to start Sacramento's first nomadic winter shelter for homeless people.
For the past year, Kate has been working with Kristin Thébaud Communications to provide fundraising and marketing services for a broad range of social service nonprofits.
Kate holds a bachelor's degree in Political Science from Washington College.
